Rider Fitness Foundations

16-week, 3-phase introductory program.

A more gentle or returning-to-exercise/ back-in-the-saddle program.

For those with little/no exercise experience.

Focus on excellence in human movement; form, posture and correct execution, one exercise at a time.

Build foundational rider fitness elements - balance, stability, strength/endurance, mobility, symmetry and body control & awareness.​

Starts with bodyweight only, use basic equipment later (light weights, bands).
-
Progressions and assessments over 2 x 5 week phases and 1 x 6 week phase.
-
Prepare for the Gains program.

3 x 15-20 min sessions per week to start.
Rider Fitness gains

-
18-week, 3-phase program to improve the fitness elements equestrians require.
-
Suits most riders for equestrian-specific training to improve​ balance, symmetry, stability/ strength, endurance, mobility, coordination and athleticism.
-
For those with general exercise experience.
-
Compound exercises; 2 at a time to improve neuromuscular skills.
-
Enhance progression by increasing sets, slower movement, increasing resistance or adding extra workouts (lots of choice!).
-
Progress & assess over 3 x 6-week phases.

Basic home equipment (a short, wide loop style band, light hand weights, mat.)
-
3-4 x 18-28 min sessions/ week to start.

After 18 weeks, continue with new programs every 6 weeks.
rider mobility

8-week, 2-phase program.

Month one: 3 x 15 min mobility sessions/ week, plus weekend bonus follow along video sessions.

Month two: 4 x per week plus bonus videos. ​

Focus on mobility but also enhance other foundational rider fitness elements - balance, stability, symmetry and body control & awareness.

No equipment required (except a mat)
